Jemaa el-Fnaa is a square and market place in Marrakesh's medina quarter. It remains the main square of Marrakesh, used by locals and tourists. During the day it is predominantly occupied by orange juice stalls, water sellers with traditional leather water-bags and brass cups, youths with chained Barbary apes and snake charmers despite the protected status of these species under Moroccan law.

Sadian Tombs

The Saadian tombs are sepulchres in Marrakech, Morocco, which date to time of the Saadian dynasty sultan Ahmad al-Mansur. They are located on the south side of the Kasbah Mosque. Abandoned for centuries, the tombs were rediscovered in 1917 by aerial photography and were renovated by the Beaux-arts service.

El badi Palace

El Badi Palace is a ruined palace located in Marrakesh, Morocco. It was commissioned by the sultan Ahmad al-Mansur of the Saadian dynasty sometime shortly after his accession in 1578. The palace's construction was funded by a substantial ransom paid by the Portuguese after the Battle of the Three Kings.

The Chellah
